Asin dreams big in Bollywood

December 31, 2008

With another exciting Bollywood film in her kitty, South Indian actress Asin, who recently made her Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan-starrer Ghajini, says she has received a warm welcome by the industry.

Asin’s next Hindi film is Vipul Shah’s London Dreams which also stars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

“I was approached for London Dreams while I was shooting for Ghajini. I don’t know how they found out about me. I have just finished a long schedule of shooting the film abroad and some of it is still left.

“But I feel I have received a very warm welcome to Bollywood. Both my initial projects are with good banners, actors and filmmakers. I feel lucky and blessed”.

Salman snubs Shah Rukh again

December 29, 2008

While attending a public function on Sunday when Salman was asked if he has seen Shah Rukh’s film Rab Ne he complained that Shah Rukh had been so unwelcoming.

The actor who celebrated his birthday this Saturday, said, “Shah Rukh didn’t invite me to watch his film. Even Aditya Chopra didn’t do that. How could I go and watch a film when I am not invited at all.”

Just a couple of months ago the same Salman Khan had announced that he and Shah Rukh would never patch up. But his latest comment seems to suggest that may be he wants Shah Rukh to take an initiative to end the cold war between them since Katrina’s birthday party.

Ironically, he doesn’t leave any opportunity to snub King Khan. On being asked if he himself will go to a theater or make any effort to watch the film, he said, “If I am sitting somewhere and the film comes on TV, I will watch it, otherwise ” He makes it quite clear that he is in no mood to make any efforts to watch Shahrukh’s Rab Ne.

Has Salman Khan softened his stand on Shah Rukh Khan? Or has he made up his mind to snub King Khan whenever he gets an opportunity to do so?

Shah Rukh and Abhishek to work together

December 29, 2008

Director Vivek Sharma is very busy these days. It is said that busy people are happy people. But he isn’t just happy. He is over overjoyed and overworked and is loving every bit of it to the ‘T’.

The director is shuffling up and down to the Film City where he has put up a giant guitar shaped set with the two talked about debutants, Jacky Bhagnani, son of Vashu Bhagnani, and Vaishali Desai, grand daughter of the late filmmaker Manmohan Desai, who are shaking their leg to the title track of his next movie Kal Kissney Dekha.

And if you think that this is the only reason that is keeping the director busy then you are wrong. Vivek has roped in Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan to do a cameo in this film and he had a tough time convincing the two.

“SRK is making a special appearance in the film and is coming at a very important time in the film’s climax. He is a good friend and like a brother to me and for him to agree to be a part of Kal Kissney Dekha is like a blessing. Abhishek Bachchan is a part of one of the romantic songs which is going to be shot in New Zealand in the first week of January,” he said.

King Khan had done a special appearance in Vivek’s debut movie Bhootnath in which Amitabh Bachchan played the lead role.
